Hello,

I have a Whirlpool dishwasher that has a plastic grate thing in the
rear on the inside bottom. This is sort of like a filter that prevents
food ect. from going down. Anyway, there is about 1/2" of water that
sits there after I run it through a cycle. I have cleaned off the
entire thing and there is nothing left on it. I'm assuming there is a
clog underneath it somehow. Does anyone know how to unclog it?

I am not sure if you are talking about the drain that is at
the rear of
the dishwasher. It is supposed to have water left there. It
keeps the
gasket from getting hard and cracking. Not a lot of water,
but a small
amount. The drain goes out to your garbage disposal or sink
drain trap.
It depends on how it was plumbed.
