I know this is a UK group, but the appliances can't be that different. Here
goes. I have a Kitchenaid (Whirlpool) dishwasher that started to leak out of
the bottom of the door, only at the end of the cycle when the pump starts to
empty the washer. (It does NOT leak during the wash cycle.) The water then
pours out the bottom of the door. I have installed a new seal kit, but no
joy. I am reluctantly ready to call a pro, but my heart tells me not to. It
is not a pump leak. I am watching it with the panels off. Any ideas?

Have you checked the float which is usually in the front? It
may be filling higher than it is supposed to. If you had a
leak around the door you would see water during the washing
cycle as the impellar spins around. The float could be stuck,
or not working. Make sure all the screws that hold the
outside metal to the inside of the door are tight and not
missing. I don't know if you have a metal tub or plastic.
Hopefully no cracks or holes, which of course you should be
seeing water immediately on the fill cycle.
Just going over some things I have experienced over the years
in servicing appliances. I may have forgot something.

The float/water level may be a problem as well.

But I'm wondering if also the OP isn't simply using too much, or the wrong
(read cheap) type of detergent ?
While the wash cycle runs, and much of the water is still bouncing
around....no leak.
But if it's full of suds, as soon as it stops and all water goes to the
sump, the foam then gets high enough to crawl out under the door.
